M茅tis Culture Alive in Woodlands School

Did you know that almost 40% of Woodlands School students are M茅tis? Woodlands School has been learning about M茅tis history and culture this year through many different Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Highlights included story telling about Louis Riel and Cuthbert Grant, cooking Bannock over a fire, 3D archery, weaving a school sash, learning how to 鈥渞ead鈥 a sash, weekly jigging lessons and weaving an extra large sash in the gym with ropes.
